Small Stock Meeting and Fair Critique

The meeting was held on May 15, 2024 at 6pm at the Extension office. Numerous people came to show their support and offer critiques and suggestions to improve the fair for 2025.

Elections were held to vote on project coordinators for the year. Those positions are as follows:

  • Nicole Tricoff - Dog

  • Zach Collier - Pigeon

  • Keisha Cassidy - Poultry

  • Pam Freeman - Pygmy Goat

  • Susan Jones - Cavy

  • Lisa Benson - Rabbit

For Poultry: A lot was discussed on how to make this year and the fair a great year. Suggestions for prizes were discussed at length. It was decided that we will send out a survey to ask the exhibitors what kinds of things they look forward to. Communication was another issue that was brought up. We will strive to keep our communication lines open and transparent during this year. Getting a better sound system for the fair. The auction committee is looking in to what they can do for that. Getting more feedback after judging was another big topic. We have some ideas on how to make that happen this year and we will keep that process a top priority for the fair.
